Intermittent no power to cluster,no tach,no speedo,no gauges 200 1987

Upon startup I get nothing in the cluster, no tach no speedo no gauge movement at all and no charging on my 2 1/4 inch voltmeter as well. Tap the top of the dash above the cluster and all comes back to normal. Have replaced the ignition switch for lack of headlights and other accessories. Does the power come from the red/yellow wire on the bottom right as you face the unit? Am I looking at solder joints for the cause or something else? Happens like twice a month or so.
