940 - steel wheel - slow leak 900

My front left tire has a slow leak and the gas station guy guess it might be corrosion around the wheel. I have sprayed soapy water all over and cannot detect the leak. Anyway - I was thinking of purchasing a replacement wheel and maybe a tire and then at my leisure clean up the old wheel and use it for a full sized spare. (Cause maybe it's not the wheel at all). I have 15 inch wheel. Should I just look for any old wheel or should it be Volvo wheel? And if anyone has such a wheel for sale near Washington DC I might just buy that one. But does my new wheel need to match the other three in every detail? I have a 1995 940 and the tires are more than 7 years old so maybe its time for new tires anyway. They have tread but I'm a little worried that they are just going to deteriorate from age.
