Rebuilt engine straight six now high oil pressure 900 1992

My 92 960 straight six had the engine rebuilt now oil leeks everywhere. The mechanic says to much oil presure what could of went wrong in the rebuild. Could the oil pump release valve be put back the wrong way around. If so where is it located pics would help.
