Outside air entering front vents while driving 200 1986

When it rains problems, it pours......Anyway, yesterday I noticed that when sitting a light with the a/c on, all was cold and well. As soon as I began moving forward, warm & humid Florida air mixed in with the cold a/c air. I checked the vacuum hoses behind the console and everthing was hooked up to the recirc button. How can I make the cowl vent door stay in the closed position to keep outside air out without tearing the whole dash apart?
