hi sages- wondering what would be an average or reasonable cost for a competent rebuild of a volvo 240 automatic trans from an independent garage. not even going to waste time with a dealer who seems to be synonymous with shyster. american automatics seem to be about 2000. would appreciate a reply from a sage with direct experience herein. also what kind of a warranty is typical. thanks tons oldduke
