Removing front rotors 700

Is there a secret to removing front rotors? I've had no problem with the rears, but I've spent hours using a sledge hammer, jack screws and a propane torch to no avail. This is the first car I've had in almost 50 years that I couldn't remove the rotors. Unless someone can provide me with a eureks solution, I'll be taking the car, rotors and brake pads to the shop and have the grease monkeys with more heat and bigger hammers do it.
