That rumble can be a sign of problems, or of dry bearings. If they're dry, they're probably at least a little damaged already, but you might have 5 years of life even on somewhat shoddy bearings.
Maybe a whole lot of heat or a BFH will get it off. I remember there being a hole through something so that I could see the hub behind the rotor. You might be able to get some penetrating oil into it that way. If you're definitely replacing the rotors, have at it with a BFH. Might want to keep it under 6 lbs and less than a 2-foot handle (no sledgehammers hehe).
Do you have the receipts for the new rotors? The ones that are on there now, I mean.
