I recently read the boards about many cars stumbling after start-up in the cooler, damper, fall weather that once up to normal operating temperature run fine.
I had the same issue and began trouble shooting. Considered the FPR, IAC, AMM, vacuum leaks etc.
Left the hood slightly open by accident over the weekend - it was cool and rained most of the weekend which led to a NO start with the battery dying after 5 attempts.
Decided to replace the battery - it was 5+ years old anyway, and it seems to run like a charm now. starts much better, no hesitation (yet), and even seems to idle better.
Can anyone explain why a new battery would have such an effect? The better start is obvious to me, but how will a new battery affect overall performance???
You also might want to try a new battery if you're trouble-shooting the same symptoms...
