Any tips for storage of a used fuel pump? 900

Hi,
About 4 months ago, I replaced a fuel pump in our 940. Later it developed an issue with the sending unit and I replaced the entire assembly which included a new fuel pump. So now I want to store the old pump as a backup sometime in the future. Is there anything I need to do to it before putting it away to preserve it?
