Buying a 1987 240 auto dl maybe, what should I look out for? Besides crumbling wires

So what are the known issues with this car? I mean after 26 years if it had bad wires they should have been fixed. They want a $1000, it has turbo wheels it looks like, no dents and no apparant rust spots. They say the odometer broke at 98000 and it only has 105000, maybe maybe not. What do you think?
