breather box hose, s90/960 S90-V90

I've got the flame trap kit for the car, along with a new breather box to flame trap hose, as it is stiff and dried out.

Is there ANY way to get the hose onto the breather box without removing the intake manifold? Or do I poke the hose down toward the breather and keep poking until I hit the outlet? :)
