The photos below may show a possible clue to my son Ted's coolant loss on his '92 940na. He and the car are about 150 miles away, and so far I haven't been much help in diagnosing the problem by phone and email.
Background:
Coolant loss is recent, and the "Slime" seems to be at the front of the motor. That is, there's no evidence at the back (Heater valve) or from pump itself (installed several months ago by Ted). Pump top gasket, block gasket, main hoses, heater return line show no leakage.
Coolant system was "treated" with $$ Stop Leak several months ago for over-pressurized coolant (assumed gasket breach at #3 or #4). Problem was apparently cured. I don't know what the sealant color was.
I realize this isn't much to go on, but any Green Slime suggestions would be welcome.
