Howdy folks.
I posted last week about pulling on my CPS wiring while (lazily and roughly) moving a vacuum line out of the way of the heater hoses so I could replace the core.
Having yanked on the CPS wiring, and with the way it's stumbling and reports of the same sort of thing - car runs ok sometimes, other times it will suddenly lose rpms and the throttle will become non-responsive if you don't floor it. More often, it's a split second failure, I think a failure of spark because of the non-responsive pedal.
I'm about to bypass the wiring harness pigtail, since I have this old CPS, and I suspect the engine harness's connector is the problem.
Anybody have any suggestions? There is a 240 with decent-looking CPS wiring pigtail in the JY.
So far, I've replaced the RSR with one with reinforced solder, replaced the hack-job of a harness to the RSR I had put in place, loosened/tightened the injector ground, and have a spare ignition power stage I could swap in.
A very grumpy "Cheers"
