Some thoughts.... 700 1990


Did you previously post that you had either a 2-3-2 or a 2-3-1 code? If so, those codes normally indicate a vacuum leak. My 855 had a 2-3-2 (idle trim too lean/rich) code recently and it was a broken intake hose. I know you said you checked the vacuum hoses. If it were me, I would still double check all the vacuum hoses and the intake manifold for leaks. Also make sure that there isn't an old hose that's collapsed upon itself. Replace ANY old/questionable hoses.

A few other areas to check:

1. Have you tested the O2 and knock sensors?
2. Is the AMM plug on securely and there are no broken prongs?
3. Going back to your original thought - fuel. Have you tested the fuel pump relay? Looked at the solder inside? Does your car have an intake fuel pump? Have you listened to see if it is running?
