Has anyone run into this before? I've bought a new ac low pressure line (drier to compressor) and a new drier. The line is genuine Volvo. I've ruined the threads on 2 driers trying to thread the low pressure line nut onto them. It seems as though the thread pitch is slightly different on the nut vs the driers (Like metric vs standard as opposed to coarse vs fine). It is absolutely maddening! A third drier (Üro) looks the same as the other two aftermarket driers. I'm considering ordering a Genuine Volvo drier, at $70, to see if the aftermarket driers are different. The male nut from the evaporator threads into all of the driers fine. I'm beginning to think that the nut on the line might be tapped wrong. Thoughts?
