checked the map sensor im getting 4.77v at signal 0 at Ground AND 5V Ref
checked o2 Sensor With Car idling i am getting 12v to the harness
checked the IACV harness getting 12v to it
checked Throttle Switch getting 5v at signal and 0v at ground
Ok so i AM coming from a legit place, i just became a member here i normally do ALL of my own work and read tons of threads and comments to come up with a conclusion, so im not someone who just pops up with a problem and came on here to try and get a answer as you can see from above of all the things checked and replaced.
The car has a regina fuel and ignition system codes i have pulled have been the following:
2-2-1 Oxygen sensor not operating Oxygen sensor or intake air leak
2-2-3 Signal missing to/from idle valve IAC Idle air control valve
2-3-3 Idle valve closed IAC Idle air control valve
what is happening is when the car starts it idles extremely low if at all maybe 300rpm, when i go to give it throttle it seems like the throttle switch is triggered and then it wants to die, i can give it full throttle and the car will not respond at all to it. the car does not rev, the car does not move under its own power. the timing is fine.
When i open the throttle and the throttle switch clicks, i checked the iacv harness and its supposed to when the switch clicks cut power to the iacv however i still remain with 12v at the harness. so that leaves me to think the switch might be bad. i did the normal tps proceedure however i was told this isnt a tps but a switch so the regular tps proceedure doesnt apply ie: checking the voltage graduation throughout the throttle body openings range.
with the o2 sesnor replaced and the multimeter on 2v it doesnt seem to sweep like it should, when i pull the vacuum line to the map sensor i get .8xxv and heated up i should be seeing like 1v to 1.2v and im not seeing that at all with the car fully heated up. with the Map sensor plugged in it seems as though i am running lean, although this could also indicate A Map sensor issue also.
with all i have checked or replaced i have came down to 3-4 possible conclusions
1. the oxygen sensor is bad
2. the map sensor is bad
3. the throttle switch is bad
4. the coolant temp sensor is bad (however never threw any codes for this)
can anyone tell me what they think is the problem, i am completely lost. and i am now down to 4 things that i havent replaced i really need to fix this car as it is my daily driver.
