Driver's side door latch mechanism 444-544 1963

Hey all,

I noticed a few weeks ago that it was getting harder to open the door of my 544 from the outside handle of the driver's side. Well today it stopped working all together. When I push the handle down, I can feel the spring tension build, but then it just slips away and doesn't open the door.

Do I need a new door latch mechanism, or is there a way to fix the one I have? If I need a new one, does anyone on the list have a good used one?
