Over the past few weeks I could feel the engine producing less power than normal and just powered through because this is my daily driver. Tonight I decided to dive into the problem and performed a round of tests. Results of a compression test was 140-145 across all four cylinder. Next I moved to test spark and saw that when pulling the plug wire on cylinder #2,3,4 the engine nearly died. But when pulling the plug wire on cylinder #1 I saw no effect on the engine performance. Next I swapped plugs in cylinder #1 and #2 and the issue persisted, then swapped plug wires and saw no change. Then I pulled all of the fuel injectors and tested the whole rail and all four injectors are squirting. Next I moved to the valves and ensured that both were at least moving, then checked the clearance and everything was in spec to my manual.

My next test will be to swap injectors to see if I have decreased flow out of injector #1. Also I will check fuel pressure for any changes since I set it a few months ago at 30psi.

Where should I look next as I continue this adventure of tracking my loss of an entire cylinder! Luckily I only have a few days of driving before going on a few trips giving my car some relief.
