Did you check for spark at #1?
Stick your timing light on that plug wire. Better yet, remove that plug, leave it connected and clamp the plug to a good ground, and see if it sparks when you turn the car over. Might be good to pull the #1 injector wire before you do this, and of course, make sure it's in neutral, as it will start on the other three cyls unless you disable the injection (say, pull the plug on the fuel pump)
Sure, it could be an injector, but compression is good. Problem stays in hole #1 when swapping plugs and wires, so that rules them out.
What's the one thing in the ignition system that would cause a certain cylinder, and only that cylinder, to lose spark, after ruling out plugs and wires?
Distributor cap.
I would most definitely rule out all possible spark issues before moving onto fuel issues, or gads... the cam.
