Stutter at startup 900 1992

When I first start my 1992 740T it fires right up. After about 10 seconds it slows down and it appears ready to cut out. I give it a bit of gas, it recovers and all is well until the next morning. This happens before I put the car in drive. It happens while in park mode. What could be causing this?
