EMPI tie rod bellows 960 900

Installed an EMPI tie rod bellows a year and a half ago on my 1995 965 that I got from FCP. Just noticed it is torn half way through. When I turn the steering wheel to full right turn, it is obvious that there is no way that the bellows could have been able to stretch this far. I notice that the pictures of the Fibi bellows appears to have a lot more corrugations than the EMPI. Has anyone had experience with this, and would you recommend paying the extra for the OEM over the Febi?
