The inner tie rod ends are rattling like castanets, so it's time to replace them.
Question I have, is a clarification of the 740 etc tutorial.
Do I need to remove the outer tie rod end, to get the adjustment for toe in?
With the inner tie rod cinched up,to the rack, and turning the shaft a death knell for the steering seals, it seems(arguably) the best way to go.
I have read three different tutorials and none of them dealt with Outer tie ends unless they were being replaced.
The last time I did tie rod ends the inners were loose in the ball joint and all i had to do was spin the shaft to the tape on the outer and call it a day.
I'd really rather not bugger this up.
Comments and suggestions always welcome.
