Making A 244 Rear Door "Liner'?

The other day, the passenger side rear door on the wife's 1980 244 was not opening at all easily. I finally managed to get it open and pulled off the interior panel to reveal the door innards. I can see that some lubrication is needed and so I ordered some spray lithium grease so I can hit those hard to reach spots. So far, so good.

But in doing all this, I discovered that the paper "protector/liner" that sits between the interior panel and the door metal has deteriorated to the point that it just crumbled into bits. I am pretty sure that factory replacements are not available so I guess I have to fabricate one myself - maybe out of clear, heavy duty plastic. But I don't have any idea, since the thing was disintegrated, what the shape/pattern of the thing should be and how it should be attached.

I have looked on the web for photos from others but not really found any that reveal what I need to know. Does anyone happen to have any photos or other info that might help be do the right thing when putting this all back together? It is ALWAYS SOMETHING!

Thanks!
