Just picked up a 1993 240 wagon.
Has a nice body, engine runs well, has some suspension issues, but the thing that is really bugging me is the AC.
I have searched this forum and am still stumped so I am hoping that y'all can help out.
What I have done:
1. Replaced relay. Checked fuse. Is there a separate delay relay and another relay?
2. There is power to the green wire on the relay when the AC switch is turned on, but compressor clutch is not activated.
3. I think that there are 2 sensors/switches, one attached to the drier, the other near the condenser. There is no voltage at either sensor when AC switched on. I tried bridging the contacts of both sensors separately and both with no result.
4. I direct wired the clutch to the battery and the compressor came on (no cooling though)
5. I connected a wire from the green wire on the AC relay to the compressor wire, and the compressor switches on when the dash switch is turned on.
I am not good with wiring diagrams and the Bentley Manual is no help.
Any suggestions, hint, more troubleshooting tips?
thanks
