At this moment in time this query is rhetorical. Our brick has about 450k miles on it. We have had it since it had 147k on it. Well maintained. I’ve been thinking about this though: if the brick at some time needs to have an engine rebuild, I would like to opt for easy ways to coax a little more power from it. A cleanup bore maybe .60 over, maybe a little higher compression pistons if possible, and a subtle cam improvement.
Nothing extreme, just a bit more power. Anything can do with the injection? I know so little about the workings of the Volvo engine. (Now give me a 50’s-60’s Chevy or Ford block, well, that’s a different story.) Anyway, thanks for your thoughts.
(You may be asking "Why?" but I really don't want to get into that, just wanted to ask these questions. Thanks.)
