Super loud exhaust - engine compartment area 900 1994

One more issue: 1994 940 NA, runs well, but there seems to be something going on with the exhaust. When the engine is running, it's really loud.

I checked the exhaust manifold, and a couple of the bolts were loose. After tightening, and also checking the connection to the exhaust pipe, the noise persists. It seems to be coming from the area around the exhaust manifold.

Could it be that the manifold gasket is bad, or does it indicate some bigger problem?

What should I check next?
