Feeling silly asking this question: how do I disconnect the wire harness connector by the firewall (in the corner next to brake booster)? The connector cluster was held together by plastic ties (removed them) trying to pull or pry the connectors apart, can't seems to get anywhere. I'd like to clean the connectors (have a recurring check engine code 143 "knock sensor signal missing or defective" trying to troubleshoot that). The car is 1994 940 sedan NA (Bosch), 186K.
