LED headlight for old plastic lens?

Hi -

Wondering if LED headlight bulbs might compensate for yellowed plastic headlight lenses and old reflectors, 1993 945

I've seen these mentioned on brickboard in a discussion about overheating headlight relays - Philips-H4-6000K-X-treme-Ultinon-LED

Seems like pushing fewer watts might not be a bad idea on older wiring.
