544 Tachometer question 444-544

Hi all,

At some point I'm planning on adding a vintage tach to my PV544.

I was hoping something that at least looks period - VDO, maybe Smiths.

I was thinking of using an electronic Tach, 12v, 4cylinder, and I still have the original/old VJU Bosch Distributor.

Am I missing anything key (like oh, you can't use an electronic tach, or something like that?).

I ask as some of these older tachs are $$$ and I don't want to buy anything that won't work..
