I need to get an air filter for a firends Volvo that I am going to do some maintenance on. What is all the hooplah over these K&N thigamajigs? I am trying to detemine which is the better way to go. One, getting an inexpensive but adequate air filter, like a purolator, and then just replacing it when it need it with a "fresh" one. Emphasis on FRESH. Or second, getting an expensive and adequate filter like K&N and cleaning it when ti is time to replace it. I fail to see the value or superiority of the K&N, but wil listen to the voice of logic on this one. But just what is the logic?
Thank you,
Robert
