Hey everyone,

Thank you for your responses on the various methods used to employ freeing up stuck clutch plates. I used the "lurch" method of starting it in gear and flooring/letting off the gas. It worked perfectly and the car is driving very well, with an exception. I've got a '61 P-210 with a '69 b-20 engine (I think out of a 140??) with a Weber downdraft automatic choke carb. M-40 tranny. When I am driving and accellerate, I get that hessitation sometimes, as if the engine's getting too little of air or fuel...not sure which. It happens frequently, but not all the time. I also get this when I'm just driving at a normal speed with no acceleration...you know, those little jolts.... Since I'm not familiar with the Weber set-up, I'm wondering what could be causing this, assuming it's the carb. I know when the car is idling, every once in a while, it gets the same type of hessitation, but much less noticeable as it's not moving and is at low rpm. I've also noted that if I punch the gas, the hessitation doesn't seem to be as bad as when I'm slowly pushing the pedal down....a very strange occurrence.
