Cruise Crontrol Sensitivity Adjustment 700 92

When climbing even smaller hills with cruise engaged car speed surges as the system attempts to maintain steady speed. Is it possible to adjust the cruise control speed sensitivity on Volvo cruise control systems? Or, I am going to have to live with annoying quirk.
