My 91 945se has started intermittant smoking...Sometimes it runs fine and seems to have no smoke or hardly any,,,and othertimes it smokes like crazy (nobody wants to dive behind me if the traffic slows down on the freeway. Also after coasting down a hill and then accelerating, we seem to get a lot of smoke. The turbo still pulls strong and the crankcase breathing hoses are all clean???

Any ideas?

How do I test for valve guides being worn?
