cooling fan 900 1994

I have a 1994 940 T wagon. I'm looking at the wiring diagram for the cooling fan and have some questions I hope someone out there can answer for me.

According to the wire schematic, there is an early and a late version.

What I am wondering is: There is a low pressure switch side and a high speed saftey switch side and the temp sensor that are involved in turning the fan on. I know the AC turns it on, the engine temp sensor does at a HIGH temp but not sure what the low pressure is. As for the wire colors, the red is for the high speed safety switch and the green wire is the low pressure side. As for the temp sensor, the early version has it tied to right after the high speed safety switch and the late version it is right after the low pressure switch. Can anyone explain this to me? I'd appreciate this. Some of you were able to answer my qusetion awhile back as to how HOT this thing really gets which I appreciate.

Thanks so much, Jim
