The problem is that my ignition key is stuck in the cylinder (which I removed from the steering column with suprising ease). It all started with an erratic "start" condition. Sometimes my daughter's '89 760 Turbo wagon will fire right up, and sometimes it won't. This is the second fuel pump relay in 6 years and I still have an inkling that there is something I'm missing. Hence, I attempt to clean the ignition switch with aerosol contact cleaner (Radio Shack). Hey, it's worked on power seat & window switches, but I did not know that the electric portion of the ignition switch is physically seperate from the key/tumbler area. The key goes in, but the key no come out! !@#$%^&* The factory manual shows how to remove the cylinder, but is of no help with removing a seemingly impacted key. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.
