Laundry List of questions (please help) 200 86

I have a 86 240 4 door. I just took her in to a reputable Volvo guy and he came back with a long list of items that need to done. I think most of them I can do myself, but I would like some info from "the Board" before I go ahead. I have pretty good medium level mechanical ability. This list is somewhat lengthy so be prepared. But any input on some or all of the following is greatly appreciated. Thanks

ATC Fuse holder is melted--Cut and splice right?

Left tie rod assembly--This is just a knuckle buster right? Any special tools or tricks?

Driveline center support cushion and bearing--Can I do this from home with basic tools or should I leave it for the shop?

Trailing arm bushings--Again, this can be done at home right? Tips? Tools?

Tail-shaft bushing and sea--Same as above

Trans Pan filter service, gasket, and flush torque converter and cooler--Same as above

Top Engine clean (decarbon combustion chamber--What is this and can I do it?

Clean gummed throttle body--Can be done at home right? Tips? Tools?

Clean PCV system--Same as above

Reaction rod bushings--What are they can I do this

In total, the work and parts outlined by this shop comes to $2,400 most of it for labor. I agree that the work needs should be done but I would rather not part with kind of money. I love working on the car and would welcome the challenge so I am up for it. Let me know what you think.

Thanks again,

Joe
