Speedometer problem 120-130 1966

The speedo on my 1966 122S won't go past 57 mph. I'd like to remove the speedometer to send to a technician to fix. Any suggestions or advice on the easiest way to remove the speedometer, would be appreciated. If anyone knows how to fix this without removing the speedo, please let me know. Thanks.
