I have conflicting info from dealers and maintenance specs and I cannot think of a better place than the Brickboard to get a straight answer.
I just my 1995, 940 over to 100,000 miles and the maintenance interval on the Timing Belt for the 940 (non-turbo) with B23F engine in the manual states 100,000 miles. Through maintenance records from the original dealer (I bought it used) the belt was changed at 48,000 miles and they recommend it be changed at 50K intervals. So, I called to get the parts from another dealer, closer to home, in the course of conversation, he mentioned that for 1995, the interval was increased to 70K. Now there's not much difference in 50K - 70K intervals except that the garage will be much warmer in a few months if I go to 70K before changing the timing belt.
But if it can go to 100K then I've got another year to year and a half.
Anyone out there know the REAL recommended mileage interval for Timing Belt Replacements?
