Alternator belt tension 200 1985

I replaced the belts about 100 miles ago. Now the rearmost belt is starting to squeal. Both belts are the same size and type but the outer one is tighter than the inner one. I re-tightned them to stop the squeal but one is still tighter than the other. Is this normal?
