Mechanical odometer not working 200 1983

I recently bought a 1983 240 GL. The mechanical speedometer seems to be working fine but the odometer is frozen at 109159 and the trip odo at 999.0 (will not re-set to 0). Is this repairable or do I need to get a new instrument?
