I picked up some nice Pioneer 6x9s on Ebay for a sweet price.
now comes the hard part, mounting/installation.
I dont particularly want to cut ALOT of sheet metal in the rear shelf to install them but will cut some. Plus I need to retain the rear headrests.
Kinda makes it seem like a long project I know.
have others installed 6x9s in the rear? if so, what is the way that you did the install?
To prevent rear speaker install and retain teh rear headrests I was thinking of using some MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard, same stuff used for speaker boxes) as spacers to raise the 6x9s off the shelf to allow the basket to not interfere with the predrilled rear hole.
does this sound like a feasible decent plan?
thanks
