Hey All,
Hello again! I read something the other day, that if the volvos computers don't get the "right" responses from all the sensors, it blocks the offending ones out, and guesses their input based on the other signals it receives from other sensors. Now, i reckon, that it depends upon how you drive your volvo when you leave in the morning when it is cold. Now, i find that if i drive the car moderately hard, (i.e. not above 3000rpm It is a manual version) but just using moderate amounts of pedal (i.e. half throttle). When i drive it easy (not above 2000) and very little throttle, the car doesn't tend to accelerate as well once warmed up, which is why i reckon it is possible that one of the sensors that are geting long in the tooth, as such, are taking longer to warm up, (when little amounts of throttle are used) and the computer gives up waiting for the proper signal, and blocks the sensor! Does this sound right?! I reckon it is a good theory, but, do you reckon it's right? It sounds good to me, i know a bit about electrics and all, it's possible! Right?
Responses please! Thanks All!
P.S. I noticed this while driving, some days, i have to go to third gear to make it up a hill near me, other days it easily does it in forth with no trouble (no labouring), so it sounds to me as if it runs better sometimes! (on the same tank of fuel, etc, same time of day, same temp outside, etc....)
