high crankcase pressure 700 1990

I have a problem with oil leaking from the oil cap. Tried replacing it along with the flame trap, the connecting hoses to the flame trap and the oil separator all to no avail. It is a fairly slow leak but I believe it indicates high pressure in the crankcase. What else may be causing the leak? Specs: 1990 740 GLE, 16-valve with 120K miles.
