With the price of gas going up and up, I decided to try a more relaxed driving style, not that I'm out there burning up the pavement or anything. So I drove much more conservativly that usual. My commute is about 35 miles and in the morning at about 5:30 am, consists of cool air and a constant speed. My afternoon commuse is a little more stop and go. I-66 to I-495 to Bethesda Md. I just filled up this morning at with 357 miles and 13 gallons (15 gallon tank), and I fill it up, that's about 27 1/2 mpg. This is local 7-11 Citgo gas.
So I can only conclude it is possible for a high CD car, does barn door give you a clue, can get some good mileage.
BTW, it's not lowered, I'm not coasting, no fancy plugs bla bla bla...
Just a mostly stock 740 Turbo.
