"Check engine" when A/C turns on 200 89

"Check engine" light turns on whenever the engine turns on, if the A/C is also on...won't turn on if A/C is not on. Codes indicate lean mixture and throttle position switch faulty or has grounding fault.How can I tell if the TPS is faulty? I hear the "click/click" indicating correct adjustment of the linkage. Any body have experience with this?
