OD Solenoid wiring fix 200 84

Well, the OD decided to begin working after I wiggled the wire and pull off the dead ruffer from the top of the unit.

Then it quit the next day.

So, I have a wiring problem.

What is the connection of the wires to the top of the solenoid? I'd like to make that connection clean, tight and maybe cover it with something to replace the rubber which has rotted away.

I can't see that location. Anybody fill me in what is there?
