240/260/740 with carberetor came stock...funny huh? 200 all

Well, as I hear, since 73- all Volvo's came to the States with fuel injection. But in Thailand, most 240's I've seen came with carburetors... mostly stormbergs, pierbergs, and solex. I've even seen a 87 imported 240wagon imported from sweden to Laos with a pierberg original. And also, most 740's came with fuel injection, while some even came with 4 speed and a downdraught solex. And I saw a 260 yesterday with also had a SU-HIFF6 original... pretty strange huh... a 6cyl with only one carb...
