coolant sediment 700 86

Even after flushing with running garden hose for a while and filling with fresh Texaco DexCool orange coolant (mixed with destilled water) twice, I see some black sediment at the bottom of the expansion tank. Does anyone know what is is or where it comes from? Is there anything like a filter for the coolong system that will trap any grit that could wear the water pump? Thanks for all information.
