Fixing that high volume oil Leak... 200 1986

Your advice was right on, my father an I cleaned up the engine and started it up, thats where the oil was leaking from. The plug does not seem to be blown. My question now is can someone with limited experience with volvos fix this themselves, unplug the flame trap and re-seal the plug? I just inherited this car from my folks and need it to work for my summer job. Can this work be done without pulling the engine??? We can get good volvo parts from ipd in Portland, OR
