Best Coolant 200 82T

Hi

I drive a turbocharged 240. One of my best Volvo buddies that I trust says he uses Volvo Type C coolant exclusively. I trust him lots, yet @ $14/gallon that is bit steep. Although I by far not cheap when it comes to my Volvo.

This board is most helpful in its great wisdom of the cars we love and drive!

What do you use/recommend?

Seeing as how I change coolant either yearly or every 1 1/2 years the Volvo coolant does not seem bad price.

Also, the Clymer manual recommends to hook up a garden hose to the heater hose and flush the cooling system. Have many done this and recommend it?

My engine is less than 15K miles old on the rebuild.
